A beauty traveled
Through heavenly sky
Reached toxic earth.  
Beauty delivered and cursed.

Adding to census
She smiled…….

This time
Not killed in womb.

Growing unknowingly
Away from life .

Maroon from dreams
Crushing desires,
She walks with family
Which took, never gave
Waiting to give her.

The wet eyes
Never saw certificate,
Traveled all pebbles of life.

Sprouting girl, chained to marriage
New home welcoming
New domestic helper
Being used in light and shadow.

For dowry existed
Holding its evil mate
Killed the girl’s girl
This time in womb.

Cries the mother girl
On her not breaking in womb.

Beautiful is not always stable… Beautiful and as I say this word, something must strike your mind. Be it nature, love, family and friends. what makes these things beautiful are that they are forever. My experiment with Rs5.                                            By Prerna Mishra                        (written in college 5th sem, 2013) In last 31 years, they have only asked for your 2 minutes, now as an added topping with just Rs5 in your pocket.  In the interiors of Jharkhand, a true Indian village lacking in almost everything, where survival is with bare minimum resources, Life goes on because it has to. A few government schools established under “Sarva Siksha Abhiyan” shabby building, teacher sits outside the classroom with hand-fan. I saw Students having their cherished meal. A big bus carrying thousands of packets, parked outside the school. Yes it was Maggi; these children were having and of course free of cost. Mid-day meals have perhaps become very boring for these children! They too deserve the fun, which city children enjoy out of Maggi.    An initiative taken by Nestle to feed thousands of school going children in villages spread across the country.

Girl, Go & Grow She chose the burning road, the different air, the puzzle that no one dares! I hear the reason they throw at you- “girls can’t”, “get back home”, “time up”. I know the reason you tell yourself. I don’t feel your pain but your passion roars telling its story. She crawls, walks, runs, falls, but refuses to stop. She embraces the pain. That girl goes and grows through pain. Friends, she doesn’t have them. she knew it would be a deserted path. Ordinary girl, no extraordinary skill set, but dreams.
