Clap for me Mr. celebrity

Reality shows, thank you. No not you big boss, this is for shows like India’s got talent, Indian idol, Dance India dance and shows like this.

 Glued to bed, totally in control of idiot box.
 A bunch of kids who said, they don’t have money to buy clothes and so painted their body for the performance. Many don’t go to school saying ‘ hasiyat nai hai hamare’. I waited to see the act and was awe-struck. They were flying, yes they were!
     
Now as the three celebrities stand and clap, kids have tears in their eyes. They have a big yes from judges.
And, I think to myself now people around them will rate these kids as talented, if they do shows now they can have bucks.
Why are we so lackadaisical? Why do we need stars to clap and tell us these are the talented ones?  Why we ask talent to certify itself to merely believe its existence?

 Singing sensation in town! Are you turning up?
I don’t know because I don’t know who he is.
I found out. A reality show participant, who got eliminated near the end. Though, that did not stop him from being the topic of the month.
I came to know, he had been performing for years. Just a year ago, he was poorly paid singer.
Yes, many thought him good but you know that, being good was not enough!

A clip is on air, a clip on him. A shabby house, his needy family, filthy clothes it also shows the local stage-show he performed sometime just for after the party meal.
Tears roll down, he sings with all his heart.


Celebrity or judge as you may call it screeches ‘This is talent.’

 Even after years of listening to this local performer, people never took out time to appreciate him. Talent was so cheaply available, how could it be talent then?

See, the thoughts have changed direction. Those very people, the exhilarated people, today they are talking about the talented singer.

Yes, he won not the show, but respect. All these years, he sang for you.
Ooh! You barely noticed your local singer, but now just because a celebrity claps for him, he becomes the genuine talent. Why do we need a certificate, just to recognize even a next-door artist?

We have so many local stars, who are doing amazing things. Let us value them, tell them how talented they are. We don’t need a trophy every time to acknowledge them. 
Let us Pay them respect and appreciation they deserve, for what they are today.

    There are many talented people who deserved to be famous. They are near but we don’t notice them.The people who are rich use to get training from a highly paid professional trainer only for such competitions. Sometimes it became a competition between the parents and the innocent kids will be the victim
    As u told, some paint their body for the performance as don’t have money to buy clothes.
    Even though it is known to Judges, They don’t care about the psychological feeling of the participants. 1 single ranking from the judges can easily demoralize the kids. Very Good thoughts dear...Keep it up:)

A few government schools established under “Sarva Siksha Abhiyan” shabby building, teacher sits outside the classroom with hand-fan. I saw Students having their cherished meal. A big bus carrying thousands of packets, parked outside the school. Yes it was Maggi; these children were having and of course free of cost. Mid-day meals have perhaps become very boring for these children! They too deserve the fun, which city children enjoy out of Maggi.    An initiative taken by Nestle to feed thousands of school going children in villages spread across the country.
